Both the rock house and barn were remodeled with electricity and plumbing in the early 1950s by the famous San Antonio architect Carleton Adams. In 1921, the Black Creek Community built the one-room schoolhouse on the property. This historic structure remains in place and is notably featured in a mural at the Triple C Steakhouse in Devine, further underscoring the ranch’s deep local significance and heritage.
