Brush species include guajillo, guayacan, granjeno, black brush, persimmon, white brush, mesquite, prickly pear and many more. Terrain ranges from rolling hills to bottom land with deeper soil. The owner has selectively cleared areas of the ranch over the years to enhance quail habitat. In these areas some re-growth mesquite and huisache are present. There is good drainage throughout the ranch with Buckhorn Creek being the main creek. Large oak, elm, and hackberry trees can be found along the creek.
